Kia ora koutou, My name is Katie Talbot and I am so excited and humbled to continue my learning journey as a teacher at Te Rōhutu Whio. What an amazing opportunity! I was born in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland before shifting to the beautiful Bay of Plenty where I lived until I was 10. After this my whānau moved to sunny Nelson so I have been really lucky to live in some beautiful places in our country. I love to travel and explore new and exciting places around the world, I love to camp in different remote parts of Aotearoa and I love to learn new things! At the moment I am learning how to sew and how to play the guitar. I am excited about real world, hands on learning that empowers the next generation to be connected to their place, know themselves and understand that they are capable of great things in our world
